ABOUT

Harvest Henderson is an artist and writer. Her recent projects are mostly in ceramics; she has also exhibited mixed media, text, and installation works made with candy wrappers, cardboard, embroidery, live sod, supermarket produce, wildflowers, and to-do lists. Her criticism, essays, and fiction have been awarded an Oregon Literary Fellowship, a Soapstone Women Writers Residency, a Sustainable Arts Award (Finalist), and a fellowship from Columbia University, where she received her MFA. She has taught at Parsons School of Design at The New School, Medgar Evers College, Columbia University, and Artshack Brooklyn. In addition to making ceramics, she currently does writing consulting, outreach, and arts education work with creatives, nonprofits, and public schools.
